My First Visa Experience

This was Indeed My first Visa experience..but wait arent we forgeting something... I have been hearing about the word "US" and the word "visa" so much..aleast from the past 7 years..some one or the other in my family is traveling to the states ..so atlast even my day came up..this was the day..i used to only hear ppl telling weird expereinces abt their visa "encounters"-which i always felt were exaggerated..so my visa interview is scheduled for the 27 of June 2005...This was how it went..Reach the consulate at 11am ..having an appt at 1230 but 'heard' they allow much earlier than one's appt time..go there to see ppl having appt times of 4pm standing in the same line...go in to the lounge finish all the mandatory procedures which i have been hearing from friends for sooo long...and then finally enter a room which appeared to be very silent i initially..but saw the room filled with people all having tensed faces..go and sit there for 3 hrs..waiting to be called to join the 'line'..while waiting one can hear all the interviews of other ppl having their interviews..some of which were very hilarious...helps in easing tension in one way..so finally after sevearal hours was called to join the line...was first in my line...waiting for my destiny-though i dont believe in it.If the interview had gone bad i wouldnt sulk..may be just watch some movies and buy a pair of shoes.so here how my interview went.

Me:(good afternoon Maam)
visa officer(VO):Hi
VO:put your left and right index finger
Me:put it.and then handed over all the docs.
Vo:(goes thru my Ds forms..)
Vo:oh you are going to Georgia tech.Do u have your Standarized test score reports?
Me:passed them
Vo:"your visa will be couriered to you Good luck!"

So i guess u agree with me it wasnt an interview ..it was more of a conversation...or a sort of a walk in a garden!
